The busby Brothers are a distinctive vintage ensemble bringing a captivating interpretation to modern & retro classics. If you want live music at your event but don't want the noise of a full band but still want a great party atmosphere then these guy's are the act for you.
Busby Brothers' diverse repertoire & unique approach allows them to shift dynamically between bluegrass cotton fields of Mississippi to double-edged bossa love songs & rat pack jazz. Add some bouncy Kingston fever and you're on your way.
Sophisticated & stylish, engaging yet subtle, The Busby Brothers bring you their own versions of hits by music mammoths, from the likes of Bill Withers to Bob Marley, Amy Winehouse to Allison Krauss & Tom Jobim to Toots Hibert. Add some Ray Charles, Jamie Cullum & Nina Simone for good measure.
A keyboard, a guitar & two voices is what we use, unless a fuller sound is required in which case we summon our double bass player & percussionist. The Busby Brothers provide you with an intimate but versatile set evoking a truly exclusive atmosphere with a mix of today's & yesteryear's soul/jazz timeless masterpieces. Wholesome flavours which are perfectly suited as background music for bars, restaurants, receptions & cocktail parties. We are also able to turn up the tempo & engage with an audience if they're up for it.
